We’re excited to announce our investment in After Class, a Stockholm-based platform making it easier for teens and families to discover, book, and enjoy extracurricular activities. Founded by a team experienced in consumer platforms and SaaS, After Class combines a B2B dashboard for activity providers with a B2C marketplace, creating a dual-sided ecosystem that brings structure and ease to a fragmented youth activity market.
Why We Invested
Finding and managing after-school activities is often complex and time-consuming for both families and providers. Many platforms are fragmented or overly manual, leading to missed opportunities and low engagement. After Class simplifies this by offering a seamless, digital-first experience for both sides: teens and parents can discover and book activities quickly, while providers gain tools to manage bookings, subscriptions, and outreach. The platform’s dual revenue model—SaaS for providers, commissions and subscriptions for consumers—creates predictable income while scaling across the market.
The Team and Their Expertise
The founders, Maria Niclason and Maria Nilsson-Steward, bring hands-on experience building digital platforms and marketplaces. Their execution-focused approach is complemented by deep knowledge of user engagement, SaaS product development, and go-to-market strategy. This combination ensures that the platform not only meets technical standards but also resonates with families and providers, supporting adoption and retention from day one.
Strategic Partnerships and Traction
After Class has already onboarded early activity providers and launched pilots that validate both product and market fit. The platform is live on iOS, with Android soon to follow, and early user feedback has been positive. Pilot activity confirms the value of the provider dashboard and consumer booking flow, supporting rapid scale within Sweden.
